3000 miles apart

 My dearest,

So long since the last time we spoke... and this is me.. my life has become two points, and none of them involves you. 

I do miss you... your smile in the mornings, your gaze at night... your comments during the day... the long discussions on philosophy... long discussions on the future of Chemistry... and especially, the long discussions about love. 

I must say, I love you... I still do! 

I know that it sounds incredible, especially since I do not call, I do not reach you, I stay busy with other things, many other things, and you are out of the picture... But that is only the external picture; you are always present in my mind! 

And the love that I have for you has evolved. I love our friendship above all... I love your mind... I might find you irritable nowadays; nevertheless, I love all your quirks!

All that said, after so long living by ourselves, I suspect that we wouldn't share a space again... I love you... and we are better as we are, over 3000 miles apart.

I hope that you can understand that my love for you will always be, with us over 3000 miles apart.

Amado mio,

Y así termina nuestra historia de amor a distancia... Como mas podría terminar sino con una fuerte despedida y otro viaje que nos aleja aun mas...

Despedida fuerte que oprime el pecho evitando que las lagrimas salgan frente a ti mas rodando por mi rostro en el momento en que ya no me observar.

Viaje largo de varios días cruzando el mar para llegar a una nueva tierra, un nuevo destino, nuevas amistades y retos...

Viaje que da el impulso de desear mucho mas...

Ese deseo de regresar a tu lado para no separarnos nunca mas... Ese deseo de observar tu trabajo cada día, observando la belleza que reflejas en todo momento.

Mas bueno, este desenlace era predecible, al fin y al cabo, así es el amor a distancia y por algo es que decidimos no amarnos mas.

Seremos amigos, una vez mas...
